Hey, I'm
Mary-Grace, but call me MG
My roots have always been to make. Over time, that has taken many forms. Along the way I discovered my passion for people and using what I make to help.
Where I am now
Currently a UX Master's student at the University of Toronto, graduating late 2026. I do digital marketing for RISE Conferences and for my faculty's Accessibility Interest Working Group.
I am looking for internships across product and service design, marketing, communications, and event planning. I have many passions and I don't want to limit myself to just one thing.
How I work
01
Genuine curiosity
I ask questions until I understand, so that I don't have a surface level understanding of the problem, rather what is really going on underneath. That habit started long before UX.
02
People-first lens
Research only works when there is real trust. I create environments where people feel heard and safe to share what they actually think.
03
Clear communication
I write and speak for the actual audience and stakeholders on multiple levels. Background in English and communications shows here.
04
Maker at heart
Figma prototype or Canva poster. I love making things that work but also satisfy everyone involved.
Beyond the screen
Architecture, photography, community work, and a lot of making.
